Relation Problem

Two fathers and two sons went fishing. Each of them caught a fish, and none of them caught the same fish. However, they caught a total of only three fish. How is this possible?

  1. Only 3 persons went for fighing..
    Say, A(Grandfather), B(Son), C(Grandson)

    A - father of B
    B - father of C

    In 3 people there are totally 2 fathers (A and B) and 2 sons (B and C).
    Each one catch 1 fish => 3fish

  2. The three fishermen were a man, his son and his grandson, i.e. two fathers and two sons

  3. There were 3 people at a time :
    Grandfather
    Father
    Son
    2 father = Grandfather+Father
    2 Sons = Father+Son
    So each caught a fish & 3 fishes in total....
