1+7*7*7*7=2402
ReplyDelete2403 is the right answer
Delete1+1+7*7*7*7
No its not onley 1 man is going because only he is going not his wives and kittens!
Deletethe riddle never stated the second group was even going to St.ives so there can oly be 1 person going.
DeleteIn the start it says on MY way to st Ives... So non of the seven groups are going only you
Deleteit is +1 and watch epic rap battles of history batman vs sherlock holmes
Delete8
Deletehow would we know if any of them are going to st.hives, let alone how many are going even the guy on the way might change his mind
Delete"On my way to St.Ives" just the one XD
Deleteit says on MY way to saint ives so nor the wives, cats, kittens, sacks are going. just the person who saw all of that!!!!! so simple! :0
Deletei know right! (the anonymous above me)
DeleteAnswer is 2802
ReplyDeleteExplain....
Kitten in one bag=7*7=49
Total in one bag(7Cats+49Kittens)=49+7=56
Total in 7 bags(49Cats+343Kittens)=56*7=392
Total At one Wife(7Bags+49Cats+343Kittens)=7+392=399
Total At 7 Wife (49Bags+343Cats+2401Kittens)=399*7=2793
Total to St. Ives=1(me)+1(man)+7(wives)+2793(49 bags+343 Cats+2401 Kittens)=2802
This is a kid riddle, watch your language.
DeleteSeriously, great language! Hope you are not a teacher.
Delete1, your thinking to much :p
DeleteDumb peole it's 1 because it says a man not a man and his wives
Deleteits 1 no one said the man was going to st.ives it is just me
DeleteOnly one was going
DeleteI donnt get this
Deleteyes, one and ONLY one man going. He only saw cats, blah blah..blah..but they were not going with him....simple !
Delete1(man)+7(wives)+49(sacks)+343(cats)+2401(kitten)=2801(total)
Deletethis is a kid riddle!!!! you must be a teacher!!
DeleteOne. Just you, rest are coming from St. Ives :)
ReplyDelete1
ReplyDeleteone,the person who is asking

ReplyDeleteOnly The person.. so 1

Deletei Loled at the calculations, but it is actually only 1
ReplyDelete1
ReplyDelete1 the one who is asking
ReplyDelete1 thats me.... u jus saw d man wid his wives
ReplyDeleteI think your right!
Deleteonly 1, that's you!!!!!
Deletetotal is: 1+7+7*7+7*7*7+7*7*7*7
DeleteYou only saw the man. It doesn't say that he had his seven wives and their pets with him.... and it doesn't say the man with seven wives was going that way either. 'I am the one going to St. Ives'.
Deletethere is only 1 person because there all in a sack in one mans hand
DeleteI don't understand how there is enough information given to determine the correct answer. Did the storyteller see the man and his wives beside the road going nowhere? Did he overtake them and pass them and all were on the road to/towards St. Ives? Was the man and his wives going the opposite direction away from St. Ives?
ReplyDeleteone man is described with above details, but he is only going
ReplyDelete1 i think its funny that the first 2 guys put loads of calculations and stuff like that lol :)
ReplyDeleteit never specifies that they were going the opposite direction out of St.Ives. Therefore you could be wrong and you could be right, not enough info. was given.
Delete1, the guy
ReplyDeletethats what i think
Delete1
ReplyDelete1 only he goes
ReplyDeletethe "I". because you don't know whether the man, 7 wives, 7 sacks, 7 cats and 7 kittens are going to St. Ives too
ReplyDeleteNobody is going because how do they even get there
ReplyDeleteWell you see a train in traveling west at *****, That shit dosnt matter, its one lol
Deletethe correct answer is 64 the wrnog answer is not in the high range of the 200s my specific range for the answer is 50-60 because sacks are traveling items so there are a total of 49 kitens, 7 adult cats, 7 wives, and one husband so ANSWER:64 49+7+7+1=64
ReplyDeleteThe cats and kittens and sacks wouldn't count because they aren't "people"
ReplyDeleteNot enough information is given on the direction the man with 7 wives is going so it's hard to determine if it's 1 or 7
*I mean 9
ReplyDelete1, you never said the man, his wives, cats, and kittens were also going to St. Ives. The narrator is the only one going there.
ReplyDelete1
ReplyDeleteonly 1 the man who saw.... coz there is no info. given wheather they were on d same way.
ReplyDeleteOnly one person is going to St. Ives. He only saw the man.
ReplyDelete1+7(7(7+49*7))=17151
ReplyDelete2752
ReplyDeleteSHAKSHI
Only him the answer is 1
ReplyDelete7
ReplyDeleteI Didn't
ReplyDeleteYou are the only one thtas going becuase you didn't say that the people you saw were going to St. Ives with you or anything. I'm really samrt. I am 9 and I figured it out by MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteyou are 9!!! good job :)
Deletei am alone,, i found them on them on the way
ReplyDeleteno no no sorry to say vishwah sharma that no need to lie so much because you were not there
Deletei am alone going to st,, i found them on the way
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of wrong answers.. I'm not gonna figure it out. Note it didn't include the man, and it said Kitten, not kittens. Unless kitten in the plural of kitten.
ReplyDelete1 is the correct answer, no dip. The speaker is the onlyy one going to St.Ives. Plus it says he meets a man but the man could go any direction (toward St.Ives or leaving St.Ives). So both 1 and 1 + (9*9)*((9)* (((9))))).
ReplyDeletei hate this thing
ReplyDeleteim the only one going i was on my way there
ReplyDeletethere is only 1 person because the riddle never stated that the 2nd grounp was going. it simply stated in the first sentence that only YOU were going.
ReplyDeletetere were 28 things oing to st ive
ReplyDelete29 people
ReplyDelete2800
ReplyDelete1+(7*7)+(7*7)+(7*7)+7=155
ReplyDeleteincluding u/interviewer its 156 :)
on the other hand, if they all were not going, its only u dear :)
There is no clear answer. This riddle is poorly worded. The reader can't tell who is or is not on there way to St. Ive's. The only definitive answer is 1, the narrator. However, there is no reason not to assume that the others may be on their way as well.
ReplyDelete1 person
ReplyDeleteIf they all are going to st.Ive's the answer is
ReplyDelete1(man) + 1(man)+ 7(wifes) + 7*7*7(cats)+7*7*7*7(kittens)
Its 1, cuz u saw the rest of them tht doesnt mean they were going also.
ReplyDelete2401 bnecause 7*7=49 and 7*7=49 so 49*49=2401

ReplyDeleteOne person. The person going to St. Ives who saw the man with seven wives. They weren't going to St. Ives as well, only the man that saw them.

ReplyDeleteonly 1
ReplyDeletethe wives might of been going to he didnt ask plus he might change his mind lol , nobody knows :o
