  3. yes. Gold is in First box.
Becoz second box says gold is not here , lie.
And the third box says gold is in second box , in this way box 2 and 3 are lies.

  4. The gold is in second Box!!!!!!
As 1st and 2nd tell lie and third says true. Because this is the only probablity.

    1. No, it must be in the first box, because if it was in the second then 1 would be true, as it wouldn't be in that box, meaning that 2 statements would be true.
The gold is in the 1st box, as the first statement is false, the second is true, and the third is false.

  5. 1st statement is true
2nd and 3rd statements are false.
finally gold coin is in first box.

  6. First Box.
    The second statement is true.
Since the first statement is a lie, it means that the gold is in the first box.
The second statement is true, so it isn't in the second box.
The third statement is false, meaning it isn't in the second box.
Assuming the First statement as true will result in a conflicting "false" statements from 2nd and third statement. Assuming third statement as true will have a conflict between the first and second statement, both inferring that the gold is in their box.
Simply said, the false or opposite statement of "The Gold is not in this box" would be "The gold is in this box.

  12. Box 1: "Gold is not here" either it can be true or false.
Box 2: "Gold is not here" either it can be true or false.
Box 3: "Gold is in 2nd box" ==>
If it is a true case then, 2 statement will be right
    (Box 1 and Box 3) == Fail
If it is a false case then, gold is in either Box 1 or Box 3.

If gold is in Box 1 then 2 statement will be false, and 1 statement will be true.

If gold is in Box 3 then 2 statement will be true and 1 statement will be true.

So possible answer is Box 1 has gold

  14. answer is first box, because if first box statement is true then gold is either in second or third but other two statements must lie, therefore second box statement implies gold is in second box and third box statement implies gold is not in second box which is a contradiction. if third box statement is true then gold is in second box and other two statements are false that will imply gold is in both first and second boxes which is impossible. so second box statement is true because it is consistent that gold is not in second box and it is in first box so gold is in first box.

But the statement of second is true.

  16. Becuz 2nd is true so saying its not here as a lie for the 1st box means IT IS THERE

  17. The gold coin in second box because the first box says lie, the second box statement is false, the third box statement the opposite is the answer

  18. This isn't the correct wording for the riddle. It sshould be that the first box says "gold is in this box" and second box should say "gold is not in this box" while the third box says "the gold is not in the first box"

  19. the problem here is that everyone assumes the gold has to be on the truthful box, but it could be in one of the lying boxes. The first box is the only logical choice, because its the only scenario where only one of the three boxes would be telling the truth.

box one would be lying, because the gold is there, box two would be telling the truth because it isn't there its in box 1, and box three would be lying because it says the gold is in box 2.
