              = 10 cent x 10 cent
              = 1/10 dollar x 1/10 dollar
              = 1/100 dollar
              = 1 cent

=> 1 dollar = 1 cent

    100 cent = 10 * 10 cent (not 10 cent * 10 cent)

    = 10 cent x 10 cent
    = 1/10 dollar x 1/10 dollar
    = 1/100 dollar^2
    = (100)^2/100 cent
    = 100 cent

  5. always divide both sides of an equal sign
    1/100 dollar= 1/10 dollar x 1/10 dollar

    They forgot to divide the LHS of the equation
