At a college election for president, exactly 963 votes were cast.
There are total of 4 candidates that participate in the election.

The winning candidate exceeds the opponents by 53, 79 and 105 votes.

How many votes do each candidate gets ?

    Winning candidate votes count is x
    and opponents respectively
    x1 = x -53,
    x2 = x - 79,
    x3 = x- 105.
    so
    x + x- 53 + x - 79 + x- 105 = 963;

    x = 300;
    x1 = 247;
    x2 = 221;
    x3 = 195;
