ReplyDeleteThere are 9 straight lines such that every line meets every other line, so you will expect 9 choose 3 triangles. However, 2*5 choose 3 of these triplets of lines will meet at one point. Therefore, the total number is 9 choose 3 - 2* 5 choose 3 = 64 triangles.
