kian was born just before midnight on Feb. 28. shane was born just after midnight on the morning of mar.1. On leap year there are 29 days in Feb. hence, 2 days apart.

ReplyDelete@We love Maths : If Kian was born first then how cud Shane be older???

ReplyDeleteShane was born on the 1st of march then his mom crossed the international date line before delivering kian so he was born on feb 28th. So during a leap year such a thing would occur.

ReplyDeleteRe you're really making a simple thing harder than it has to be. if one was born on February 29th and one was born on March 1st the first would only have a birthday every 4 years hence he would be born earlier yet younger chronologically speaking then the brother who was born after him on the 1sti

DeleteKian could easily celebrate his birthday on a day other the anniversary of his actual day of birth. Or Shane, or both could have for reasons unknown. When you actually celebrate your birthday is a matter of choice. I can choose to celebrate my birthday this year on Saturday because the anniversary of my day of birth falls on a Thursday, and that's a school/work night.
