**Logic Dice Riddle - 11 November**

A solo dice game is played. In this game, upon each turn, a normal pair of dice is rolled and the score is calculated not by adding the numbers but multiplying them.

It is observed that in a particular game, the score for the second roll is five more than what was achieved in the first roll. The score for the third roll is six less than what was achieved in the second roll. The score for the fourth roll is eleven more than what was achieved in the third roll. The score for the fifth roll is eight less than what was achieved in the fourth roll.

Can you calculate the score for each of the five throws ?

Let x,y,z,w and h the scores per round ,respectively:

ReplyDeleteThe following system of equations can be satisfied only for x=10. (for the possible products that fulfill the restrictions )

x+5=y , y-6=z, z+11=w, w-8=h

x=10 (5/2)

y=15 (3/5)

z=9 (3/3)

w=20 (4/5)

h=12 (3/4)

If x is the first score then

Third score =x-1

Fourth score=x+10

Fifth score=x+2

X can be any value between 2 To 36

But x (or x-1, x+10,.. etc.) is the product of 2 dice rolls.

DeleteSorry. 18 is a plausible value for x of course (3/6), but will not produce acceptable values for ALL the next rolls.

mean

1st = x

2nd = x+5

3rd = x-1

4th = x+6

5th = x-2

the possible count number of X is 3.

so, the count number each trow is 3, 8, 2, 9, 1. isn't It ?
