  1. Mr. Alexander grabbed a burning stick and burned a patch of forrest to the North . The wind soon spread the fire across the island burning the forrest in front of him to ashes and alexander could safely walk onto the burned land. Obviously when the fire coming from the South side reached the patch of burned ground to the North it had no more forest to burn and went out.
